The Cane & the Clove | Santa Teresa 1796 rum | Del Maguey Vida Mezcal | PX sherry | Velvet Falernum | Angostura bitters | @cocktailexplorer posted this last night and I knew I had to make one for myself. Original recipe from The Pastry Wars via Imbibe. It’s a lusciously textured cocktail and a nice Manhattan riff. I paired it with the 2004 debut album from @agirlcallededdy. This is one of my all-time-favorite albums. It’s lush and melancholy in all the right ways and an absolute classic that deserved far more accolade when it was released nearly 15 years ago. I came across a vinyl copy and knew I needed to have it.
Who else is loving this fall weather? 🍂
Do you remember the feeling of walking into the candy store as a kid? I experienced that feeling again over the weekend when I finally had my first macaron. Walking into Lolli & Pops was like visiting another dimension. The walls were lined with endless options for any sweet tooth craving. I was instantly drawn to the macarons because they came in a variety of flavors and vibrant colors. I was not disappointed by this crunchy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth treat! #portlandmaine#sweet#macarons#candyshop

I’m in for it with these two. Just look at those faces.
