Continuing my series of images from Dorset. I'd made the journey to the isle of Portland, with the plan to shoot the Portland Bill lighthouse. When I arrived it was pretty much midday, in bright sunshine and blue skies, not really my preferred conditions for photography. Within an hour however conditions changed dramatically as they often do in coastal areas. Dark grey skies, with the sun occasionally poking through and lighting up areas, I love that juxtaposition of dark and light. The scene here is just to east of the lighthouse, I loved the geometric shapes of the winch. I'd already pre-visualised the scene in my mind, so on arriving home it didn't take long to process at all.
