Scales suck, and I try to avoid getting on one if I don’t need to. Having #nonscalevictories are so much more fun and rewarding than a stupid number. BUT #myfitnesspal prompted me to get on the scale which I have been putting off for weeks now. I finally did and since I weighed myself a month ago I’ve lost 8.5lbs. I was shocked because the only thing I did different was portion control. I still ate whatever I wanted just in moderation. Seeing how easy that was, I’m going going to try portion control with healthy foods and cut out the junk. ✂️ #portionsize #weightloss #notmyfeet #bitchesgettingfit

🏃🏼‍♀️Running has become a passion of mine, and I’ll be running a half marathon in New Jersey this weekend! Throughout all my training for races and even just running more miles for fun, I’ve learned how important it is to tune into my natural signals of hunger and fullness, but also to intentionally fuel with larger portions or more carbs. 🍞🍝

🗣Despite what diet culture may say, I know there is not one “right” portion for me all the time. My running legs or hungry stomach will guide me to eat what I need. I firmly believe you are the expert of your own body and whether your appetite changes based on physical hunger, emotions, or exercise, there are many ways to eat what’s “right” for your body at that time.

Happy Hump Day folks! It’s been a month since focusing on what I put in my body and it’s been a great adventure! Realizing the gross impact of eating things that my body doesn’t like was a huge deal! Eating gluten is not worth the lethargy and the stomach pains! So 4 weeks of fueling my body with nutrients, eating in a calorie deficit appropriate for my body size and weight, cardio 2-3 times a week, weights 2-3 times a week and sleeping 7-8 hours a night has given me a start on the results I want! Feeling strong and health!
