How do you warm up? After waking up my joints and muscles I do some gentle freestyle flow. No plans, no tricks, trying not to think at all. It's always imperfect, but it's also often where I discover cool little transitions or shapes (which is why I've started filming the warm ups). The goal is to just keep moving even when you get stuck in a weird place, so forces me to try new things without the pressure of trying to be perfectly graceful. These two videos are casual warm up flows where I get stuck, distracted, have to fix my hilariously long pants, etc., but still manage to try some random new things along the way. Imperfect practices are good for the soul!
