Practicing this move over and over again will give you a pole burn that wraps from the inside of your wrist, across the eye of your elbow and up across the inside of your bicep. Sexy 🔥
Tip 1- You’ll be taking this first from an outside leg hang but the set up is slightly different. If you watched my tutorial on OLH you know that you’re supposed to pull your chest up and connect your waist to the pole. But for this set up, you need to keep your torso off the pole. This allows you to sneak that inside arm through 😉
Tip 2- The inside arm won’t feel super secure when you first wrap it. After you have it wrapped, switch to your inside leg hang and relax your upper body, turning your outside shoulder down to lay on the pole, turning and opening your chest away from the pole. Yes, this will take a bit of hip flexibility. With your outside shoulder blade against the pole, you can wrap the bottom outside arm around the pole and that top grip should now feel locked in.
Tip 3- Bring your extended outside leg toward you to start forming that straddle. Bringing the leg forward will shift your position a bit, turning your torso a little more horizontal. Turn your top hand to grab the top thigh. You won’t be able to grab the bottom thigh until you release the inside leg hang so straighten the inside leg and hold on tight because the release of the leg will automatically transfer the weight into your top arm. Then grab your bottom thigh with the bottom hand and try to hold on long enough to contemplate a graceful exit strategy 😜
