Tonight we would like to introduce you to our two house reds: Chianti Poggiosecco from Italy, and Cabernet Sauvignon Les Travers de Fontanès from France.
The Chianti, from Tuscany, is made from organic Sangiovese and Malvasia nera grapes. Bright ruby red color, intense aromas with notes of red fruits and spicy clove. An harmonius wine, where tannins and acidity are very well balanced. Perfect for all Tuscan dishes, pizza, grilled red meats, red sauces. If you lower its temperature slightly it's perfect even for our Cioppino.
The Cabernet Sauvignon, from the Pays d'Oc in France, is made using biodynamically farmed grapes, which are aged in stainless steel. Not a hint of oak in this mid-weight Cabernet, only delicious varietal fruit, herbaceous nuances, and a dusty tannin reminiscent of sun-baked clay. This one too goes great with grilled red meats, red sauces and cheese.
We love them both because they're very honest wines made by hardworking, small farmers that have decided to work in an ethical way that, while making their lives more difficult, gives us products that are genuine and better for us and for the planet. And they're delicious!
Both are perfect for tonight's weather! ⛈️🍷🍷🍝 #calafuriareno #midtownreno #renofood #chianti #poggiosecco #cabernetsauvignon #lestraversesdefontanès #cyriaquerozier #biodynamic #genuine #betterforus #housereds #jennyandfrancois
