Current bod: preggo style🤰🏼🤗
I've been asked a lot about how training has changed, diet, will I continue lifting& more. I'll definitely do a YT video but figured I'd address some questions here now!
1. Will I continue working out? YES! I plan to do my best throughout my entire pregnancy. Obviously I've been sick and tired this first trimester, so I've been listening to my body and going when I feel ok and doing what I can. I've been lifting about 4x per week, for less time and with less intensity. No maxing out or going super heavy, as I tend to feel dizzy and nauseous when I work out, too. I've adjusted my training to focus on upper/lower days but more hypertrophy and just taking it easier during workouts.
2. Cardio? Not as much, I used do to a lot when I went with matthew cause he works out for a long time, so I've been doing about 20-30 min or whatever feels good when I can. Again, not killing myself just enough to stay healthy and break a little sweat.
3. Has your diet changed? So before getting pregnant, I wasn't counting macros or actively "dieting". I WAS practicing intermittent fasting and likely eating a lot less calories just because I was eating maybe 1-3 meals per day tops (big meals, but still hard to get a ton of calories in). Once I got that positive result, I stopped fasting and started eating more often (3-6x per day) and also some more calories. When fasting sometimes i ate enough calories, but sometimes like I said I'd under eat unintentionally and could be around 1200 cals some days. Obviously no bueno for me or baby, so I immediately increased calories. I'm still listening to my body and not counting anything. I've been trying to eat healthy but tbh all I want is carbs lol so I'm just eating what I can stomach/crave and that's ok ☺️
4. Other diet changes: completely cut out caffeine. I also am not taking any supplements beside prenatal and sometimes protein if I have it in a smoothie or protein pancake of some sort. My doctor said only thing completely off limits is unpasteurized products.
So far gained about 3-4 lbs prob. My waist immediately got wider and bloated&I lost definition which is so exciting cause I'm ready for a BELLY 😍
