Going through 2017 client images to update ALL the stuff....websites, blogs, social media sites, etc. I'm in a haze of studying SEO/keyword details like a college final exam. Trying to figure out exactly which images are the *best* from each session...which for me (is it the case for all photographers?) is like pulling teeth. I know which ones I like, but which ones speak to the most people? Then I'm supposed to plan out my Instagram grid with a color palette and just the right hashtags. Next thing I know it's 1 a.m. and I'm eating Pringles and surfing usmagazine.com.
So, in the words of my current favorite guilty pleasure, "I've got new rules, I count them." New Rule: Stop worry about creating the perfect Instagram grid with pleasing tones and matching themes. Does anyone even look at grids anymore?
Image Backstory: I'm not supposed to have favorite clients and for the most part I love ALLLL my clients, legit. BUT, these two are special to me because I've done many sessions with them and they are genuine, kind, big-hearted exceptional people who honestly make one of the best couples. I'm so glad they wanted to get back in their wedding gear for another session. Towards the end of the session it was getting chilly and he chivalrously put his jacket around her shoulders. It made for a lovely organic series of shots.
