Dota 2 "The Supports" guide PART 3 by ACT.Sakura Nao
The Backups :
One thing that support hard to learn is how to backup teammates. I was watching my friend at normal bracket skill, they never backup the teammates when they were ganked/will getting killed. I see this at 2,5 and down. At 2,6 until high bracket which is 3,5-4k+. They do help, they do backups, but sometimes they do that too late, or tp at wrong place, or walk on wrong pathway which is make the core die and they late, or they die themself. At very high bracket or 5k mmr++, you will be less seeing a mistakes like that, but sometimes see they take the wrong pathway so that make your team position in danger.
So, with that said. Backup-ing your team seems like easy, but there are conditions when you take wrong path, you can make your team completely lose in teamfight. And how to train your "backup" skill?
1. Watch Replays of Pro Player (Of Course)
2. Try that at your games, you can't do that just by playing support one time.
3. Watch Your own replays (think why did you do that? Is there any other way to make it more efficient? Why you take that way?)
4. Know your teammate behavior (you will know their raw behavior by 5 minutes i think if you have a good enough map control)
The Teleportations :
TP-ing actually is one of the most important on this game, the tp control, stacked tp, when to tp, is very important. And supports have to learn it more than the cores. And of course in early and mid game this is absolutely important
You and Your carry died. And of course you will be spawn first because you will have less level than your carry. DON'T just use your tp right away! Let the Carry tp. You have to walk to get in lane again. Save your TP ONLY to save your Cores. TP has a long cooldown and in patch 7.04 they make it up to 80seconds. It's a long cd for TP. So use it only for really important matters.
That's it for PART 3 guys. GG 😊😁
