THE PLATE PRESS! ➑️The plate press is an absolutely awesome finisher exercise after any chest day. Since the weight your limited to supporting with your hands is dictated largely in how much surface friction or force generated between your hands you can generate it’s best to select a weight not to heavy for yourself as you may end up with a plate to the face. I shoot for high reps on this one with a 20kg (45lbs) plate after pre-exhausting the chest beforehand with my other exercises. Superset plate presses with pushup variations (like the diamond push up) to really destroy your entire chest, including the inner part, on your next chest day! .

Angled Plate Press πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ
Works deltoids, back, core and shoulders πŸ’ͺ🏼
1️⃣Always make sure your core is engaged, shoulders are down and back, toes are facing forward and feet are armpit width apart throughout the entire movement
2️⃣Extend plate out at a 45 degree angle until arms are straight
3️⃣Perform a row when you bring the plate back to your chest. You should feel a pinch between your shoulder blades
4️⃣Try 3 sets of 12 with a 10 or 15lb plate
5️⃣Don't forget to breathe! 😀

Another great old school chest isolation exercise Β for inner chest development. The plate press is awesome finisher exercise. You can't go heavy on this. Always Β pre exhaust the chest and try to go for higher reps 15-20. Superset plate press with some other exercise like pushups to absolutely destroy your entire chest.

I felt really good at the gym yesterday and by that I mean, I didn't feel pregnant. I saw a guy doing these with 45's on IG and thought, "I can do that too!" Dropped the weight to 25lb plates because the highest I can #shoulderpress while seated is 40lb dumbbells and standing requires a lot more balance, especially with those plates dropping behind your shoulders.
