Aluminum Plant is a species of flowering plant in the family Urticaceae, native to China and Vietnam. It is an evergreen perennial growing up to 12 in tall by 8 in broad, with dark green oval leaves, each leaf having four raised silvery patches. These plants are evergreens, which have a small insignificant flower, and grow from 6 to 12 inches in height. They have a spreading habitat, which can be fostered depending on its supporting structure. Generally, Pilea plants are grown in hanging baskets; however, when grown outdoors, they look lovely cascading over a wall or as a ground cover. It requires bright indirect sunlight, well draining soil and light watering.
