Finally back in the cooking game. I had some busy days but now my week is over and I celebrated with fresh homemade vol-au-vents or Königinpasteten as they're called in German. I made the pastries with filo dough and filled them with a white wine mushroom sauce.
Cauliflower roasted with cumin seeds, dried chilli, coriander seeds and flaked almonds.... 😋 Makes a great side dish.. . . Here’s why you should get some cauliflower in you: • It is part of the Brassica family (along with broccoli, kale, cabbage, sprouts) known for their anti-cancer properties. This is because they contain DIM, a metabolite of indole-3-carbinol (I3C). DIM is anti-inflammatory and also regulates oestrogen metabolism. DIM is liver-protective and aids the detoxification process. . .
Big bowl of deliciousness🌱 greens, sprouts, curtido, white rice, maple miso baked tempeh, and watermelon radish to make it pretty. The dressing is tahini, coconut aminos, garlic powder, crushed red pepper, and a bit of lemon juice ✨
