One of the greatest luxuries of sleeping above the ground floor is keeping the windows curtain-less, allowing the sunrise to naturally wake us up, and I'm sure the plants too 🌱
Do you keep your curtains drawn for your houseplants?
I remember having to wake up as early as I could manage to part thick, black curtains in our old ground-floor unit to allow for as much sunlight inside so the plant roomies could have a sort-of normal day cycle. I wondered if the times I slept til noon were the mornings the plants dreaded because the days were cut short so I begrudgingly became a morning person so I could make them "breakfast" 🌞🍴. Now they don't need me and breakfast is just a serving of coffee and oatmeal for two.
As a freelancer who sets her own hours, I always, always try to get an 8-hour sleep. It's a priority not a bonus. My days were only a fraction of its productivity when I was a caffeine-fueled zombie. So I took a cue from my cat and finally caught up on some z's. I guess I have Odin and my plants to thank for finally having proper mornings 🐈💤🌿 #RegrowingStudioplants
