13-11-2018 Dealing with the Problems that Bother You 7pm w/ Prophet Dr. Kofi Danso @prophetdrdanso
Foundational Text: Mark 10:46-49
Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means "son of Timaeus"), was sitting by the roadside begging.
When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!
So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.” Mark 10:46-49
Like Bartemaus, some of you are dealing with problems that are not only bothering, but you are dealing with problems which have grown into a disturbance to other people including your family, friends, and acquaintances.
Even though the people were basically telling Bartemaus to shut up, he cried out all the more because of his blindness! Don't allow people to make you feel as though you are not important. In fact, you are greater than Abraham, Jacob and Elijah because you are washed with the blood of Jesus, you are a first born! You've got to learn how to tune out the negative voices around you.
Notice that Jesus was calling Bartemaus but he did not respond. But when the people called him, he responded immediately. Why? Because there was a heavenly name that he did not know, but those who were spirit filled recognized this heavenly name. Imagine if he listened to the crowd that was telling him to be quiet?
Today, walk around with boldness and tell yourself, I am called!
