So, > 95% of my diet is healthy, organic and mostly vegan. Up until a while ago I was super strict with what I would eat and refused everything that was too processed, contained artificial sugar, white flour or chemical ingredients. It was good. It helped me gain back control over what and how I ate. It forced me to educate myself about the food we eat today, I became healthier, fitter and lost 13kg of old habits within the first 8 months of my change. -
I still am very strict about what I put in my mouth, but I also realized that sometimes you just have to enjoy that night out with your friends. Get that piece or even a whole pizza, drink some wine and maybe also get an ice cream after. It's okay! -
It's about quantity. If the major part of decisions about how you generally consume are taken consciously with your health, our planet and ALL living beings in mind you're already doing so much! So, Bravo to yourself! If everyone thought and acted like this we wouldn't be in all these different kinds of man made crisis and understand the power of food and nutrition a lot more.
PS: Of course I wish I didn't have to make these compromises and all restaurants, bars and pizza places were healthy, eco-friendly and organic (especially the late night ones) but right now I still have to deal with what my city offers me. -
How about where you live? How many healthy/responsible restaurants etc. can you find in your city?
