This week in #eatthinkdesign Alice Waters asked me to be her sous chef. (I said yes.) For the better part of an hour I was cutting these delicious #pixietangerines for the class - and for the two of us. That was the calmest hour of my week and the most memorable Q&A I've done. We touched on Montessori, victory gardens, school lunch stigma, the Free Speech Movement, electoral engagement, her time in France, and the early days of #chezpanisse.
