Happy Tuesday guys! It was a mad house here yesterday with the plumbing comedy duo on site. The more measured electrician is due today! Hopefully that will steady the chippies' nerves again. It is sometimes like managing a crèche when you think you're managing a building project...
Our kitchen is still part building site, as there are no windows in the extension yet, and therefore it is mostly plunged into semi darkness! But I try to keep on top of the dust and remain grateful it is still in action during the building work. It will be getting a revamp once the structural work is complete.
My favourite things in our kitchen are the 'SMUG' - remember that from Wallace and Gromit?! and our Tambour cabinet, which we use as a larder (the advantage being, we can hear when the kids try to sneak snacks from it!)
We bought the Smeg fifteen years ago for our first flat, before we started our first renovation! And it is still going strong after four renovations and four house moves. The larder is from @paraphernaliavintage where we've bought almost all of our furniture. Andrew and his shops in Margate and Ramsgate are always a pleasure to visit.
And a word of advice - if you plan to fit a Smeg into your kitchen scheme, you need to allow for the swing of the wider than average fridge door. We learnt that the hard way when we did our first kitchen!
