Hello! I finally made this pilot petit 3—fude pen review! Alright, let's go!
So petit 3 is one of pens from petit series—yes, there is petit 1 and petit 2. Petit 1 is a mini fountain pen and petit 2 is a sign pen/marker pen. Petit 3 is called fude pen or brush pen since the tip can bend if you apply enough pressure, resulting in a thick line. Basically, this pen is made for lettering✨.
When you bought this pen you have to open the ink tube seal first, otherwise you can't use the pen. Anyway, when I first try it out, I'm surprised on how "soft"—flexible the tip is. I don't need that much pressure to make a thick line, which kinda a bad thing for me.
My favorite fude pen / brush pen is tombow fudenosuke (hard tip) and I'm so used to applying a lot of pressure to make a thick line. As you know, I don't need to do that when using petit 3, that's why it's kinda hard for me to adapt to new situation. However, if this is not a problem for you, well... Good job. Good. Job.✨✨.
Another thing I noticed when I compare tombow fudenosuke and petit 3 is the color of the ink. You can call me crazy for noticing such a small difference. For petit 3, I found the ink to be less opaque black compared to tombow fudenosuke. (Swipe to see the pic).
Overall, I think petit 3 is worth it. It's refillable, it's tiny and easy to carry around, it has the perfect tip for lettering. I would love to buy this again!
