Today I am trying variations for bridging 🌉. Just feeling the changes that happen in my spine and hamstrings when I change arm and leg positions~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I ❤️ bridging, especially the articulation into the bridge, which helps stretch the spine . However, I remember as a new instructor, when I first taught bridging in class, all 4 of my clients grabbed their hamstrings at the same time in cramping 🔥agony 😵 . Freaked me out so much, I stopped teaching it for a long time! Now I include it in every class I teach in some form because it’s so good for strengthening hips, hamstrings and glute muscles. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Single leg strap work today to improve #stability and #balance In doing this exercise I really appreciated the assistance the reformer gives you, I really felt my hip flexors 🔥 calling out my name on my free leg!! Important to maintain that even plane across your abdomen and not let your hips raise to compensate for the unassisted leg.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

These progressive arm placements are tough, especially when you struggle with arm strength (as I do) Just remember to keep your core strong and use the pecs to help keep form. .

Flat back Abs on the short box. I usually have my clients keeping their arms close to the chest, but for EXTRA 🙀💥🔥 challenge let’s extend those arms creating a long lever as we hold on to the dowel. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
☑️All springs on🔹short box set mid carriage🔹feet under safety strap🔹sitting close to the box edge
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1️⃣ hinge back with flat back, arms overhead 6x. Isometric Hold at extension with strong core activation for arm sequence 🔥🔥
2️⃣keep body weight centered on each sit bone as you twist to one side. Hold the twist and hinge straight back ⚠️being careful to keep the body centered, resist temptation to lift the weight off the opposite sits bone or to allow your rib cage to jut out.
3️⃣round abouts. At full extension, hold and twist to opposite side before returning to sitting position. 🔵when using the dowel overhead, take extra notice to keep the scapula and shoulders down

Focusing in on arms today with a basic 🧘🏻‍♀️sitting arms series. I always look for sequences that any level client could find success 🌟👍🏼 in. This is a great flow for that.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1❤️spring....sitting tall...legs extended between blocks~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~————————————————
1️⃣ chest openers , so vital for posture✨, keeping the scapula depressing down as you reach palm back feeling those #triceps ....8x. .
2️⃣ bicep 💪🏼 curls. Flowing from chest openers- cue to externally rotate from shoulder joint to maintain erect posture and open chest, elbows lifted....8x. .

3️⃣ bicep 💪🏼 curls on the hinge, co-contracting abs and biceps. Maintain the scapula depression and elbow height...so easy to let it go here.....8x. .

4️⃣ isometric arms on the hinge. Holding the tension on the ropes, reach to the ceiling and draw elbows purposefully down into the sides of your waist. Muscle groups: lats, triceps, biceps, deltoids, obliques.👍🏼🔥 ...8-10x ☮️ and ❤️ everyone. Namaste 🙏🏼 Have a great day!

I don’t do much on the stability ball but lately there has been such great inspiration 💫💫 I just can’t help but jump on and try my hand. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This sequence is inspired by the powerful and graceful🤸🏼‍♀️ Katharine @ksjbodycontrol . Do ☑️ her page out. She did hers with an overball nestled between her calves. You can see mine abandoned off to the side 🤭😢.
