#PickMeMidna !! @medical.dog.midna I rarely do giveaways, but this is pretty awesome! Here's how I found Max. I was looking on Craigslist for a 1 to 2 year old dog to train as my psd. My parents were on board with it too. I searched for 2 months and I finally found a mini Australian shepherd 2 hours away. We got 450$ out of the bank, hopped in the car and drove to the persons house. We were 10 minutes away when he called us and announced he was giving the dog to someone who got there before us. I was absolutely crushed the whole ride home. The next morning, I was back on Craigslist. I had seen an ad for Max but I had brushed over it every time. But this time I called the owner. He sounded perfect. That evening, the whole family got into the car to go see him. I first met him and didn't think he'd make a good prospect but I had a total gut feeling. That night, we went home with a dog.

@medical.dog.midna This is such a cool giveaway idea, I've enjoyed reading everyone's stories in #pickmemidna. Like others, my first dog fell through. He was four month old brown lab who had well established assistance dog lines. The family had bought him for their autistic son but things weren't working out between the patents working and trying to raise a puppy (they'd only ever had tiny dogs before). Anyways, he was gorgeous and I pretty much agreed to pick him up the next day - had to go home and convince my parents. We weren't looking for a puppy, only older dogs but he was perfect. Talked my parents into it, only to get a call they'd decided to give the dog to her brothers family. (Which I understand, but they'd already agreed to sell him to as. Was crushing). Legit the next day my dad said, just buy a puppy. So I found the first litter of labs and went to see them the next day. Ziva was the littlest of two sisters and I was smitten. Looking back the breeder was sketchy AF but I panicked that my parents would change their minds. I'm so lucky Ziva turned out perfect for service dog work when I needed it <3 Hope it's ok I included a pic of the day I met her!! Tagging @ellas_aspie @kenai.service.pup

How I picked Freyaβ€’β€’β€’
I had a traumatic event happen to me, bad enough that I was told a service dog would help me. As a dog lover, I started looking for dogs. Freya is the runt of her litter, and my parents would only let me get a runt. I found her after a year of looking, and decided to go see her. I wasn't expecting to get her, but I saw her and fell completely in love with her.

I have three fur babies so this might take awhile....
First is Ian we got him about four years ago, we had been doing a lot of research, and we finally decided to get an Aussie, so we started looking and one night we just decided to go look a littler of miniature Australian Shepherds, when we got there, we saw Ian, he was the smallest one, and he was a bit shy, but we knew he was our baby! We took Ian home late that night, and since then he has been our first Aussie fur-baby!
Now to Bliss..... when we got Bliss she was a surprise to me and my sisters, my dad was about to go on a long Business trip, so my parents got her as a good bye gift, she was the sweetest, and most adorable little puppy! Bliss is now our second fur-baby!
And last but not least Omega.... Omega is our last Australia shepherd, we got him from a litter that Bliss had! Bliss had a litter of 9 (or so we thought) that night we woke up to check of her and there was 10! He was the last cubby, little puppy! We fell in love with him, and now he is our baby!

The 2nd picture is Ian as a puppy the 3rd picture is of Ian as a all grown up
The 4th picture is of Bliss as a puppy, the 5th picture is of Bliss all grown up,
The 6th and 7th pictures are Omega as a puppy, and the 8th picture is Omega all grown up!

Koras story was one that was a long time in the making. When i got diagnosed i struggled for a whole year to really accept it and let it sink in that i wasn't going to be "normal" ever again. (Granted I've had my disease since birth but getting mono in college is what really activated it and made it take a quick turn for the worst - its progressive). I tried to get those around me to understand that i needed help with small things, things they couldn't quite understand why i couldn't do them. I became an annoyance and several people left my life. I realized that unless i wanted a full caregiver something needed to change. I tried to get a beautiful dog from a shelter but my 11 year old wasn't fixed and they denied us. We rehabbed another dog from a bad situation but the previous owner called the cops on us and took her back when she was fully obedience trained in less than a month. I gave up for about another year and my 11year old learned enough to help me around the house. As Christmas approached, i discovered i got an extra check and decided it was time to find a puppy in my slim budget. Come to find a lovely couple on Craigslist, and to soon after find out that i knew them from my job. They both being Ill themselves were willing to work with my budget, so we paid less for kora then the other dogs went for. I asked the lady about which she'd think would have the best temperament and she regretted to tell me honey, the runt, she had wanted to keep her for them cause of how sweet her disposition was. I got lucky the lady easily agreed to part with her gem. I couldn't get a full large breed dog so i had decided a medium mixed with a large was more my style making kora the perfect breed, especially with her breed strength and density (she will not be used for heavy mobility, i use mobility aids at that extent). Kora has quickly shown me how perfect for the job she was. She has excelled in her training faster than any bully I've trained and is always ready to learn more. She is very perceptive and has kept a close eye on me since day one. Were lucky to have her brother now to train and grow next to each other

I have a service dog beau but for the sake of the the contest I will use Tobias my service dog in training who is post a lot more about for the story.
I have CP( cerebral palsy) on my left side and I've been steadily we getting in more pain and having to get more medications to help relieve the pain my nerves will start twitching I don't have a mini seizure down my left side because of my nerves and I suffer from migraines that cause me to throw up and pass out I have severe depression and some anxieties and for the most part of my life I dealt with it until I got Bo he's only a psychiatric he's too small to help me with my physical disabilities so in November I finally decided to go look for a bigger dog to help me my physical disabilities I meant Tobias who was around a year old Labrador pitbull mix in The Shelter by my house and he had a rough past and when I met him I decided to give him a chance so two days later I adopted him in within a week even though I couldn't take him out to start training him in public he was already excelling at home work he refuses to leave me alone when I'm home alone in case my leg decides to give out and I can't walk or if the migraines get bad and I'm stuck in the bathroom throwing up and he's there to make sure I don't move when I try to even though I'm in severe pain he is one of the main reasons I get up at a reasonable time every day because I no longer have the excuse I don't feel up to it anymore I'll just lay in bed and not eat because he wants to play I like to say that I picked him that I saved him but the day we met I know that my Toto Rescue Me that he chose me.
@_pawprints_on_my_heart was there the day I met him and I can't thank her enough for helping me get him

I picked khaleesi because she was the calmer of the pups.
She picked me by instantly loving on me. And felt safe with me.

@medical.dog.midna #pickmemidna @nessa.miraclegolden.sdit @hey_jude_sdit : this is the best giveaway that could happen right now as I am getting my puppy in December and need some blankets , vests , bowls etc . I first started my search for my puppy when I was in the middle of the grade eight year I was struggling a lot with my anxiety and migraines and missed more then half of that year , my doctors and counsellor wanted to try everything possible before medication and I came up with a service dog as it can help me in my daily living and at home when my mother is working , I then started joining as many Service Dog groups on Facebook to get as much info as possible and looked at my laws and went from there , after talking to people and hearing their suggestions it was very clear that as a first service dog I should choose a lab , standard poodle or golden as they succeeded the most in service work , I then went back in forth between a lab , golden , poodle , goldendoodle , labradoodles , bernedoodle, Shiloh shepherds , and a couple others I was finally set on a golden from an amazing breeder that breeds extraordinary goldens , we talked a bit I got some info and left it at that .. after talking I was asking when I could come see where the dogs live and she said she won't have any pups for at least a year , I said thank you for your time but I'm needing a puppy sooner then later as it takes up to two years to train , I then got an amazing opportunity from a friend my aunt works with that had a 1 1/2 year old purebred Bernese named Annie that she was breeding to a purebred golden named brew , I've met Annie and I adore her and she is an amazing dog that would be amazing her service work . I said yes I would love this opportunity and she put me on the list , i will get first pick , the right temperament, dew claws done , deworming , first shot , and everything else a purebred breeder would supply except registration. The puppies are cheaper and the breeding will happen in June/July and ready to go October/December ! His name will be Tova which means hope in Finnish (correct spelling toyva)and I can't wait to get him ! Thank you so much for this opportunity ❀️

Sorry for all the giveaways I've been posting, there's just been a sudden boom of them! @medical.dog.midna I didn't actually pick Penny! She was assigned to me by the breeder after she had observed Penny's behavior and asked us what kind of pup we wanted. #pickmemidna #giveaway #servicedog

@medical.dog.midna I got moo from my grandfather. She was over weight, aggressive, and all together broken. She is so much better now and she at the same time ended out to be an excellent working dog. #pickmemidna

How I picked Lilith is honestly simply because thanks to another handler I learned about Lilith and than got to know her personality and fell in love. Lilith is like my sole mate but in a dog. I keep being let down and let down on the dogs I had found. But with this one she kind of fell in my lap and I can't believe she is mine.
#pickmemidna I could really use the items in the giveaway. Thank you by the way. With Lilith I also got lucky because she was already had a lot of training to be a service dog not to all the tasks I needed but to a lot of them.
