Years in the making, It has taken me a long time to be comfortable in this body. Art is #Consent #Expressed with #Intent. #spiritualinnature #primalnature #savagenature
We began by meditating on the #sriyantra and he painted it across my chest... The Sri Yantra is a 12,000 year old symbol and is considered the mother of all Yantras.
She represents the #microcosmic level of the #Universe as well as the #humanbody.
Each circuit in Sri Yantra corresponds to one of the }#chakras in the human body. An ever rotating and expanding Sri Yantra represents the Universe.
Sri Chakra is said to represent the #infinitepower of the Goddess; it is the geometric form of the #Goddess Herself.
This symbol is composed of nine interlocking triangles that radiate outwards from the center or bind point. This central point is considered the meeting place or junction between the #physicalworld and the #spiritualworld or the unmanifest source. Of the nine triangles, four points to the sky and is believed to be symbols for #Shiva (the masculine), while the five pointing downwards represent Shakti (or the feminine). Because of this, the Sri Yantra is believed to be a strong symbol for the union of the masculine and the feminine divine.
The Shri Yantra, called the “queen of yantras,” (rajayantra) is the symbol of the great #divinemother principle, the source of all energy, power, and creativity. #Vedic traditions, specifically the Shri Vidya school of #tantra, regard the design as the representation of the universe as well as the body of the the goddess related to the feminine principle of shakti, or energy. Every line, triangle, and #lotuspetal symbolizes a specific type of #shakti. #sevierphotography
