“ stay in this position and meditate for thirty seconds.” As I’m doing Dylan Werners yoga 🧘‍♂️ on @alo.moves. Im like OMG 😲 30 seconds in meditation upside down in a hand stand position!?!?!!! (With one foot against the wall). 😳😅 it’s a learning experience, and with consistency, and drive this will become easier. The mindset obviously wasn’t there, but I can look back and at least chuckle to myself. Also, knowing I took my time listened to myself and allowed myself to understand that this is a new form of mind body connection as well as #bodyawareness is good in my eyes. #lotusstrong

They finished with #allthingsmustpass which was fitting as I head into my annual #celebratelife weekend AKA the anniversary of my late husband’s death. Saturday will be 5 years. From the 1st year, I chose to use the anniversary as a date to celebrate life rather than wallow in sadness 🙌🏽 Death teaches important life lessons. I’ve learned to appreciate the simple things..... the amazing colours of the changing sky at dawn & dusk, my morning coffee, love, laughs & banter with my family & friends, a good wine, a good guitar riff, the elusive hug of someone you #zing with.... so many simple things 🙌🏽 Life can be brutal, but it’s also fucking magnificent when you stop to smell the roses.
