-80 days until 365: YIKES! My phone always runs out of data space, probably because I have so many music apps on it or something, which means I constantly have to carefully select things to delete to create more space....for more music, of course! I don't have a ton of myself because I have never been a huge fan of how I look. However, as I'm rummaging through my pictures, I could not help but notice, really for the first time, how much better I look now that I've laid the devil (booze) to rest. Up until now, I've only really thought about the positive impact going without has had on me in a cognitive way. But clearly there is a physical difference as well. Hmmm! Who da thunk it! ❕Change of Plans❕Made it to my brother's wedding 💍❤️ (note the {designer} bags under my eyes as a testimony of how exhausted I am after this weekend) which is what initially motivated me to get serious again about fitness & health .

Ending my #21daylowcarbchallenge on day 14/21. Going to enjoy | t h r e e | days of cheat meals 🤤 until midnight on Fat Tuesday (Mardi Gras). Then it's 4️⃣0️⃣ DAYS of CC&C ➡️➡️➡️ (C)ardio 😩, low (C)arb & ☺️(C)haracter !

When I first started @jillianairefitness I said that I was wanting more than #physicalchanges but mental spiritual, & emotional as well. The first two C's should be self-explanatory, but the last C I'm doing for #Lent is Character. This will include reading books to further my faith & education, doing random uplifting things not only for my body but for my mind & soul, living & spreading positivity the best I can, and working on my relationship with the Lord & with my husband! Very excited for this season of change & what it will bring! Thank you @icarleyshea for the positivity inspiration & @devonswiffer for the cardio inspiration! Ice cream in a bag! We mixed our ingredients: (1 cup milk and two tablespoons sugar in small bag. They placed the small bag in a large bag with four cups of ice and 6 tablespoons of rock salt). Once the bags were zipped up tight, they began turning. Then every 20 turns, the students stopped to observe the state of the milk and the ice (solid or liquid). They also tracked the temperature. At the end, they had to analyze their graph and discuss properties of salt that created the results of the experiment. They worked to draw sensible (and evidence based) conclusions about why the ice cream was able to freeze into a solid. Many concluded correctly: salt lowers the freezing point of the ice which makes it colder than it was before thus allowing the ice cream to freeze! It's been one year since I started my transformation journey. I started following @krisgethin and taking his supplements @kagedmusclesupps and it has changed my life. When I started his plans I was in some of the darkest moments in my life. It was because of his plans and following them I am where I am today. I'm 34 and I am in the best shape of my life and I've never felt better. I'm looking forward to 2017 and what changes is brings, especially with Kris's new 8 week plan.

It's funny really... I recognize this girls face. I see it every day in the mirror. I've watched how she's changed right before my eyes, but I can't recall the day to day moments.
Typically I'd post about some big #physicaltransformation . I mean, it's clear to see in these two pics there's something different. The hair? Definitely. You may not be able to quite see it, but she does have a 10 pound weight difference and has lost 18plus inches overall on her body. She lifts heavier weights and runs faster than she ever imagined she could.

But guess what I love more than that.... I love what happened in this girls' head.
Take a look at these two pics. The girl on the left is slouched over. She has a red face because she doesn't really want to have her picture taken and is embarrassed. She is just going through the motions with a half-assed smile to please others. The girl on the right stands tall. She is almost always laughing which apparently makes her crinkle her nose when she does so. She likes pictures because it captures a moment in time she won't get back. This girl takes life by the horns and steers it in order to accomplish her goals.
#teambeachbody may have helped me make some #physicalchanges towards a happier me. BUT what I've gained most is a #positivecommunity of people who uplift and inspire me. Maintaining a regular #exercise routine throughout your #pregnancy can help you stay #healthy and feel your best. It can also improve your #posture and decrease some common discomforts like #backaches and #fatigue. There is evidence that it may #prevent #gestationaldiabetes (diabetes that develops during pregnancy), relieve #stress, and build more #stamina needed for #labor and #delivery.
If you are new to exercise, start out slowly and gradually increase your activity. Begin with as little as 5 minutes a day. Add
5 minutes each week until you can stay active for 30 minutes a day.
If you were very #active before pregnancy, you can keep doing the same #workouts with your health care professional’s approval. However, if you start to lose #weight, you may need to increase the number of #calories that you #eat.
Your #body goes through many #changes during pregnancy. It is important to choose exercises that take these changes into account:
#Joints- The hormones made during pregnancy cause the ligaments that support your joints to become relaxed. This makes the joints more mobile and at risk of injury.
#Balance-During pregnancy, the extra weight in the front of your body shifts your center of gravity.Because you are less stable and more likely to lose your balance, you are at greater risk of falling.
#Breathing- When you exercise, oxygen and blood flow are directed to your muscles and away from other areas of your body. As your belly grows, you may become short of breath more easily because of increased pressure of the uterus on the diaphragm. These changes may affect your ability to do strenuous exercise, especially if you are overweight.
There are a few precautions that pregnant women should keep in mind during exercise:
-Drink plenty of water before, during, and after your workout.
-Avoid becoming overheated, especially in the first trimester.
-Avoid standing still or lying flat on your back as much as possible.
Regular exercise can help you cope with the #physicalchanges of pregnancy and build stamina for the challenges ahead. If you haven't been exercising regularly, use pregnancy as your #motivation to begin.
