#transformationtuesday meets its match: the dreaded PHOTOSHOP! Let's talk about gains, hard work, and FAKE results!
To achieve the gains in my current photo (middle), it took 6 months of eating more calories (really upping the protein and healthy fat), as well as heavier leg days, more lunges, squats, and deadlifts, and 2x a week of cardio / HIIT. At first I didn't see many results but over time, started to notice the changes!
What frustrates me is when you see people who have obviously photoshopped their pictures with captions like "omg I did this teatox and my waist shrank, my boobs grew 3 cup sizes, and I can now rest a cup on my booty!" Or just people who pretend to see dramatic and unrealistic changes overnight that discourage the rest of us, especially when results are slow. Magazines and some pictures on Instagram aren't real and it's so unfair that we compare ourselves to that! I get so many people messaging me asking how hey can transform their body in 30 days or less. Unfortunately the answer is you really can't; seeing results is part of a complete lifestyle change, and often it takes many months or even a year to physically see results. It doesn't however necessarily mean change is not occurring within.
Change is so much more than the physical process. It took me 6 months of making lifestyle changes + hard work to see results, many of those months not really seeing any changes at all. So if your results are slow like mine, don't get discouraged! Don't pick some other person's seemingly perfect photo and compare her body to yours. You are doing great, and if you stick with it, you will achieve your own results too! #strongereveryday #bodypositive #loveyourself #transformation #caligirlgetsprogress #photoshop
