Before and after.
On the left you see the unedited raw photo that came straight out of my #sonya7rii. I snapped it during my recent trip to the French Alps.
On the right side is the edited version, fixing some coloring and bringing out our beautiful #milkyway.
The processing of this photo was done entirely on my iPad using #lightroommobile. The latest update made it extremely powerful for this type of editing with the addition of brush tools. There are still some major flaws and elements missing from the app, but I've been tinkering with the idea of ditching my laptop for good nonetheless. I rarely every use it now and always prefer working and traveling with the iPad.
A few main challenges remain though, most notably:
- photo storage / backup
- keyword tools
- some offline syncing issues
- a few photo editing tools not available directly in Lightroom Mobile (spot removal, transformation, lens profile, mass adjustment pasting, speed review, etc).
Have any of you made the switch and ditched your computers? If so, what have you learned?
