Put myself through a mini version of hell this morning between bootcamps since I’ve finally committed to a Spartan race going down April 28th. 15 miles and 35 obstacles is something I’ve never done before and is going to be an absolute mother phucker but with the combination of my plant-based diet, training at both our locations here at SETS and training my mind through meditation... this is the best I’ve ever felt in my entire life. Fully ready to step out of my comfort zone to make this beast my BITCH. No bullshit. No games. No gimmicks. Just straight work from now until I perish. LETS PHUCKIN’ GET IT. 🙌🏼💯

We always aim to maximize movement efficiency and focus on quality of movement over quantity. It’s the little details that make the difference between a very good high school athlete and a pro. Or a short pro career vs a long successful one

One of the most common mistakes among young or inexperienced coaches is focusing too much on volume at the expense of quality. The goal of training is not always to sweat or be out of breath. The goal is to develop as an athlete and conditioning is but one aspect. Sprinting and changing directions are skills and should be taught and mastered before overloading

High volume at a low quality leads to injuries and developing bad habits that are hard to break. Low volume at a high quality leads to improved speed and power and the ability to eventually increase volume for greater conditioning work safely

Healthy Food Makes You Fat!

Believe it or not YES ‘healthy’ food can make you fat, the same as unhealthy food.

Please see below a list of foods that WILL make your fat: • Fruit

• Meat
• Dairy

When you eat too many calories, you store fat. Where those calories are from chicken dippers or avocados. To drop body fat, burn off more calories than you consume.

This includes the weekends! You may think you’re only eating a few thousand calories at the weekend. If you’re thinking that, you should probably double it…

Healthy food is important for vitamins and minerals. These are used for daily functions, hormone production, bone health, digestive health and much more. Should you consume healthy food? 100% but healthy food still contains calories!
