Time to break out the long sleeve running shirts. No pants yet though. I’ll still wear shorts until it’s 30 degrees. . It’s funny though. When it’s 49* in October I’m cold. But when it hits 49* in April I’ll be warm. . . . . Hashtags in 3...2... #⃣#⃣#⃣#running#run#runner#instarunners#igrunners#runchat

Run hard but recover harder. . Really really shocked at how quickly my legs bounced back from Fridays 20. They were sore Saturday but not too bad Sunday. Ran some easy rainy, cool yet humid miles today. . Side note: I'm bored with my Philly routes!!! Anyone have any good running route suggestions that doesn't include the Schuylkill or Kelly drive???
4... or is it 5 weeks to go until @philly_marathon?🤷♀️ Ive lost track to be honest...... dealing in small bites, taking each day at a time. There’s SO much going on in our world right now outside of my training but I still love to follow others journeys and what awesome achievements I’m seeing here in this square in the last couple of weeks. Wow! If you have raced recently, then huge congrats... there really is SO MUCH that goes into getting to race day healthy, not just the miles on the day so aside from finish times or how it went- you should be SO PROUD of getting there and then across that finish line! • I’m not so good at posting my own story these days really and to be honest I flit from sharing stuff to feeling like I should delete the social apps from my phone entirely and have a break. Am I the only one or do we all go through these musings?..... But anyway, I’m not necessarily sharing as much but no less focussed. I’m still working hard towards my goals over here and ultimately enjoying the miles and workouts and just ticking the boxes doing what I can each day and attempting to balance it with all the other stuff. • Today I was thankful my husband was home, oh soooo thankful, and also that he literally booted me out of bed when I was tempted to press snooze for a second time. 😂 These recovery miles were SLOOOOW and sloppy but I soaked up the cool(ish) fall air and the rain drops and felt really just refreshed when I got home. I’d forgotten how much I love running in the cool gentle rain! What a great way to start the week. 6 Monday morning miles.
Post 19 mile recovery! Ice bath and Watermelon Lime Powerade. I’ve always told myself I’d take care to properly recover but I never do. Today, having run 19 miles and needing to teach 3 fitness classes this eve, I don’t think I have a choice. The thought of an ice bath is terribly daunting but a bathing suit, sweatshirt, hot cup of coffee and reading material make it bearable! #icebath#longrun#marathontraining#philadelphiamarathon#philly2019#powerade#postrun
