We, here at Phenomenal Brunch Inc. (PBI), have been thinking of ways to directly impact our community. With Mother's Day around the corner, a day solely dedicated to the women who bring new life into the world, we decided that we would introduce a new dedicated brunch series, Phenomenal Brunch Presents: PheMOMenal, as a way to celebrate the day.
Being a mother is no easy feat. It may be even more difficult when the odds are stacked against you. For this reason, we have chosen to provide the mothers of Hopper Home Transitional Shelter with a phenomenal brunch experience to celebrate them and their triumphs.
These mothers have taken responsibility for their actions and have deliberately chosen to redirect their lives in a positive way. We want to use this day and brunch to encourage them to continue to make strides along their arduous journey!
Hopper Home is a 38-bed homeless shelter for women with or at risk for criminal justice involvement. The program provides transitional housing and case management to help women identify permanent community housing. Women's Prison Association in partnership with Hopper Home helps women achieve long-term stability through access to mental health services, education, sobriety, stable housing, employment and reunification with their children.
PBI has partnered with several of New York's best brunch spots such as Amy Ruth's, SoCo, BLVD Bistro, Melba's, Solomon & Kuff, and Pies -N- Thighs to bring a fabulous Mother's Day brunch to these well deserving moms on Sunday, May 14, 2017.
