I think someday I'll be able to look back and say: that girl saved me. 💗#sageinthewild

Animals are amazing. His papa is not home yet from a work shift (@sweethomealaranga) who is my wonderful boyfriend and nurse lately. He could just sense I was upset I know it. That I was craving contact & feeling emotionally a little on edge. I truly know how lucky I am to have him, my boyfriend, my friends, my family and all of you. I will get through this, I know it, I have to. But... today it's a tough day & that is okay. #chooselifewarrior #dallas #cat #pettherapy #kitty #gingercat #mentalhealth

We received the sweetest message ever on our Facebook page. Tears of gratitude are running down my face right now. There's no way to express how much this means to all us here in Jeanie's house. Seeing this is confirmation that we are on the right path. The smiles and love we receive from children are one thing, but THIS is full circle. We adore our Alzheimer/dementia patients we visit via pet therapy, and how I wish we could visit Donel's mother-in-law. Who knows, maybe one day we will. For now, this picture is everything. Thank you, thank you, Donel and family, for sharing this with us. 🙏 #bookstagram #childrensbook #alzheimers #dementia #gratitude #pettherapy #therapydog #ilovemyjob

Rainy day itinerary for the Prima pack. ☔️💤 In our society napping is a virtually extinct ritual for adults. Why? Because we are always running, crazed, and beyond busy! Even when we do have those rare moments to do so, it is excruciatingly difficult to justify, release, and get that beneficial brain-body restoration in.
Neuroscience has discovered sets of scattered brain regions that fire in a synchronized way when we switch to a state of mental rest, such as daydreaming, meditation, or quasi-napping. These “resting-state networks” help us process our experience, consolidate memories, reinforce learning, regulate our attention and emotions, keep us productive and effective in our work and judgment, and more. If you do find yourself blessed with an opportune window for a nap, meditation, or shut eyed sabbatical....set the tasks and guilt to the side and try your best to let go. 🙏🏼
