Hot off the press: two new scents comin' atcha from @commodityfragrances!
Last week I got to meet with the Commodity team and was introduced to these two new eau de parfums. If you're not familiar with the brand, their white scents are more bright and airy whereas their black scents are deeper and in my opinion, a bit headier. Also, all their scents are unisex.
When I first saw the scent descriptions I thought I would like Nectar and be iffy about Velvet, but I actually love them both. Velvet has been my go-to scent for the past week👌
Total disclaimer: I'm not the best at describing scents but I gave it a try anyway!
🍊 First up we have Nectar (PR gift); "juicy fruits of pomelo and tangerine are blended with bitter neroli and floral honeysuckle for a bright, zesty effect." Zesty totally encapsulates this scent. It's essentially the perfect invitation to spring (pls come soon, bby.) It starts off citrusy (but not clawingly sweet) and a few minutes later when it dries down, there's almost a spicy quality to it. I'm all for it 😍
🌹 Velvet (PR gift) is described as a "woody oriental blend of roasted almond, rose petals and black amber". Personally, this smells like a delicious blend of dark rose and amber. It's deep and mysterious and just the type of scent I want to be wearing this time of year. Because of the darker notes, it's definitely not your typical rose scent. It reminds me of Jo Malone's velvet rose & oud but not as nutty (which is a plus in my book because I'm not nuts about nuts.)
Both scents come in full sized bottles pictured here, as well as mini bottles WITH SPRAYS. One of the main things that attracted me to the brand in the first place is the fact that they sell every single one of their scents in travel form. And they all come with sprays (#deathtorollerballs.) At the moment they're only available on the brand's site but they'll be in Sephora next month!
