Whenever I write up a post I have the hardest time with how to start it. Once I begin writing it’s pretty easy, but sometimes I’m just stuck at the beginning. So tonight I closed IG and downloaded the new Animal Crossing game on my phone. I then completely lost track of time setting up my campsite and figuring out the new game. So now I have a new obsession. Don’t worry though, my main obsession will always be skincare.
Lately I’ve been adding vitamin C into my routines. I started slowly, and the @yeouthskincare hyaluronic acid plus vitamin C and tripeptide-31* has been a great place to begin. I’m going on 6 weeks of use now and not a lick of irritation has occurred.
This serum is a sticky gel that takes a few minutes to absorb. It doesn’t have much slip so I prefer patting to rubbing it on my skin. After a few moments it does absorb completely, leaving smooth feeling skin. There’s no fragrance at all which is always nice.
This has such a short ingredients lists I’m just going to add it all here. Hyaluronic Acid, Myristoyl Tripeptide-31,Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol. That’s it, nice and simple.
I’ve always found MAP vitamin C to be non-irritating, so for my sensitive to acids skin this was a rather safe bet. I’ve been using two pumps of this nightly, and on many nights immediately after microneedling. I find it to be a rather soothing product, just the right texture.
Overall I didn’t find this to be as hydrating as I would have liked. While it absorbs completely my skin always feels a tiny bit dry and in need of something more. As for brightening I don’t have a lot of need for that so it’s rare I find a product that noticeably brightens. However I do feel this has had a subtle plumping, which lends itself to a bit of smoothing as well. I like it well enough to finish up the bottle, and would consider purchasing it myself.
All that said I am intrigued by the rest of Yeouths product offerings. I am enjoying the eye gel and retinol eye cream I also received, and they have a lot of appealing products up on Amazon. Plus their prices are super reasonable.
