Torontonians pride ourselves on the fact that Toronto is a multi-cultural city that works. While we’re not perfect, every now and again I come across an example that makes me break out in a big smile. How can you not say the city is doing something right when we have a thriving restaurant in Kensington Market called Rasta Pasta. The fusion cooking, dishes such as Italian panini and lasagna alongside iconic Caribbean delights such as jerk chicken and pork, peas and rice, and salt fish and ackee (after jerk, one of my faves) is the product of a dual-culture couple, a Jamaican-Canadian (him) and an Italian-Canadian (her). Vive la difference!
