Week 4, day 3: Pause squats and arms. 10x10-0x135-545 where I failed at 545 and finished with 2 sets of 405x3 with a 2 second pause.
Then went on to arms: barbellxpreacher curl 4x10-20 and narrow grip was a 4x6-20x135-275. All accessories was a 4x10-20.

Well this was shit.
I wasn’t having the best day when I went in to hit these squats; tbh i should have gone for 155kg for these triples. Now 165kg for doubles next week is gonna feel horrible.

Always going deep with #pausesquats

Lower back a little tweaked from beltless deadlifts then flying across the country. Kept it light with some pause squats, 4 sets with 425. Last set shown then 2nd set. Actively pushed out knees on last two sets. Really helped me get deeper more smoothly. Need to focus on this. Definitely seems to help.

Okay guys so this is a pretty typical style of workout that I do! It breaks down like this:

Today’s full workout👇
1️⃣Warmups: bike, walking lunges, monster kicks, pre working set warmup squats.
2️⃣Top working set: 365x1x4. (First vid)
3️⃣Main working sets: 315x5x5. (No vid pretty basic)
4️⃣Variation sets: 225x3x10 pause squats. (Only showed 5 to keep vid short)
5️⃣Accessory/auxiliary work: 3x10 squat press starting at 5 plates each side and adding a plate each set. (Did an extra credit set of 7 with 8 plates 😁)
6️⃣Cool down, light stretching, decompressing, end.✅

Want an easy way to clean up your squats? Start using pauses at the bottom of your lift! It won’t FEEL easy but it’ll force you to hold tension at the bottom and draw more awareness to how you come up

Part last night's training session, so many sets, all of the hangs 😥

feeling good after my holiday and back into swing of things. 16 week muscle building phase started on Monday so looking forward to putting some size on for the end goal being lean as I can for next September.
Trained legs today and my second movement on my leg day will be pause squats and I’ll weight to the bar every week for a 4-5 week period then swap it out for another movement.
Did these with a 3 second descent with a 1 second pause at the bottom before trying to explode back up.
