I love talking Wheelchair Rugby to people because it’s a real eye opening conversation.
Typically when people hear quadriplegic, they assume it’s a person who can’t move their arms. Then when I mention how Wheelchair Rugby was a sport made for quadriplegics, people can’t believe how a sport that rough could have ever been adapted for people with such high levels of paralysis.
I have to show people how I have almost full function of my arms but limited use of my hands which, along with my paralysis in my legs and level of Spinal Cord Injury, classifies me as a quadriplegic.
I’m also a vet and the @weareoscarmike foundation sponsors not just quadriplegics like myself playing rugby but many other events that help keep disabled veterans On The Move.
I have a found raising goal of $500 and every little bit counts. Please go to my link and donate. I would really appreciate it and so will many other veterans just trying to stay #oscarmike
