Sometimes, when we’re in love with someone, or have a crush on someone, it might be very easy to fall into an obsession. This isn’t good of course. We might end up daydreaming more about this guy, thinking about him, wondering what he’s doing, where he is, etc. Maybe these thoughts can cross the line and become too too frequent that we start to idolize this person (Even though we might not notice). But this is bad, because we need to think of God more, rather than of any other person. God needs to be the center of our lives, not a person we have feelings for. If someone replaces the center of our life, someone who isn’t God, then this is bad and sinful and we must ask God for forgiveness. Kristen Clark explains: “For me, the crushes in my life became idols. My thought life was out of control and I meditated more on my crushes than I did anything else.” We must leave it all in God’s hands. And trust Him, and . If His Will is for you two to be together, then that’s for the best, because His Will is perfect. He only will’s our salvation. But if His Will isn’t this, then we must not loose peace nor get mad at God, because it just means He has someone else in mind for us, or a better plan, who will truly lead us to salvation and happiness. Surrender to His Will, and pray for you to be attached and only want what God wants (wanting things to go our own way is a sign of pride). It is indeed hard; you may not understand why that is happening, but one day you will, and everything will make sense, and you’ll understand why this guy and you weren’t meant to be together.
