Jesus tells us to come to him when we are worn out and weighed down by the stresses in our life. He tells us to take his yoke, cling to his security, come under his umbrella and learn from him. We don’t have to figure it all out or trudge through trials on our own.
I was deceived by someone I loved; someone I trusted turned out to be someone I didn’t even know. I have been racking my mind to make sense of the situation, how could this happen? why did this happen? how can I move forward? I cannot come to these answers on my own. I am beaten down by the constant questions that run through my head. The Bible says “if anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without judgement, and it will be given.” James 1:5. I am in need of the wisdom of Christ to guide me through this time in my life. I do not have the answers. I cannot keep thinking and trying to reason this out alone. Basketball players, runners and endurance athletes often experience overuse injuries. This is often because their cardiovascular endurance allows them to push themselves past the point in which they're using proper biomechanics and force absorption, leading to excessive pressure on their musculoskeletal system.

Over time, particularly in combination with poor progression, recovery and training schedules, this will quickly expedite the process towards a seat on the bench.

You get better at what you practice, and if you practice bad mechanics, guess what? You will adapt to bad mechanics. Practice doesn't make perfect-it makes permanent.

The nervous system doesn't distinguish good or bad form and will adapt to any movement that is repeated whether it is desirable or not. This is why some basketball players can do well with goofy free-throw form (ie @stickity13). However it also means it's important to not train through injuries. Good for survival is not good for performance.

Here with the proper training and by changing movement patterns at the input level with the NeuFit device, we are reengineering the athlete.

The mainstream keto’ers have really butchered this concept. This is common in our culture to look for a simple, black & white, reductionist solution.

At any rate, the unique feature of a ketogenic diet (or modified versions of the diet) is that they can promote metabolic flexibility. What does this mean? It means that your body is going to be more efficient at using it’s own fat for ‘energy’, in addition to enhancing its ability to utilize dietary fat and carbohydrates as fuel sources.

Mainstream science and health practices tell us to eat too many carbohydrates and also to eat too often. These practices can be major factors in deprogramming our natural ability to be metabolically flexible. By following a ketogenic diet, a modified version, and/or by regularly including periods of fasting and lower carbohydrate days of eating, we can reprogram our metabolism to its natural state.

The underlying mechanism for this in part is insulin, a storage hormone. If our body is receptive to insulin, it can store carbohydrates properly, including as muscle glycogen. But if we eat too frequently, or eat too many carbohydrates, the insulin receptor sites get taxed and lose their sensitivity (like an iPhone battery that’s been overcharged). By taking a temporary lower carbohydrate on-ramp time period (this looks different for different situations), we can promote insulin sensitivity and repair glucose issues.

The benefits that come with this are optimal health, fitness, athletic performance, and better long-term sustainability to the diet.

Did you know 88% of corn in the US is genetically modified?

GM crops have viruses inserted into their DNA to help withstand high deadly doses of weed killer. Bacteria from soil is also inserted to enable it to produce an insect killing repellent known as Bt-toxin. Then this corn is fed to the end consumer (you) and the majority of our nations livestock ... aka grain fed/grain finished.

Toxic corn includes any corn derivatives such as corn syrup, corn starch, corn meal, high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), corn masa, corn flour, citric acid, etc. Good to know that popcorn is NOT genetically modified (but the soybean, canola and/or cottonseed oil its popped in most likely is).

GMO labeling is NOT required by the FDA although other countries have banned GMO ingredients in their foods altogether. But here in the good ole' US, it's optional and at discretion of the manufacturer.

Foods in the US labeled organic are not permitted to contain genetically engineered ingredients (although biotech companies such as Monsanto (barf) lobby to change this) so if any foods are not organic or do not have a voluntary label that states they are a non-GMO product they should be avoided all together. 🌱 #goodtoknow

What's the missing component in rehabilitation?

Most industry professionals don't correctly bridge the gap between rehab and return to play/perform. Athlete's and individuals are getting structural clearance for injuries and are being tested for things like mobility and range of motion is proof of a job well done.
