Love letter to my new brushes:
Dear extensions of my hands, Welcome.
I know you may hear some stories from the others, so I wanted to set the record straight.
I’m much better than I used to be and I promise you these things:
1. I will not push so hard and become so exhausted painting that I then leave the studio, close the door, and forget about you for days. I will stop when I still have energy left and make sure, even if everything else is left a mess, you are not.
2. If I leave you in water it will not be longer than a painting session, never overnight or gasp days. And I will reshape you once you are clean.
3. I love you even if I don’t use you every time I paint (I’m a big fan of painting without brushes too). 4. That you will too become a beautiful paint covered piece of art over time (but again, to reiterate, never painted on the wrong places so never fear, you will always return to your beautifully painted ceramic holder (thank you @robynmulford ) and not the trash). Love your artist
