I’ve curiously walked past Patron hundreds of times and the chance finally came to sample their wine bar. Next step, the proper Restaurant, though I think this has its place.

Best bit: a couple of very enjoyable wines, though you pay for that. Charcuterie platter was decent though neither knockout or bountiful. Friendly staff, happy to advise.
Worst bit: I’d avoid the hot dishes as there isn’t a full kitchen to prepare them in - ‘grilled’ padron peppers lacked the hallmark smack of olive oil and crunchy salt, for example.
When to go: take a loved one, splash out enjoying a bottle of wine and picking at bits of charcuterie in the suitably romantic setting...then walk down the street and spend £6 on a kebab in E. Mono to fill up.
