I wanna be real for a minute and talk about a subject that a lot of people are scared to talk about and that's depression. I battle depression weekly, just depends on how my week is going. I'm so transparent that usually you can tell by what I post on how I'm doing that week. I always try to smile and be as positive as possible but sometimes that's not always the case. For people going through it as well I wanted to give you all a few tips that have worked for me and continue to work for me. Number one, have people around you that are going to lift you up, not bring you down. Since moving to LA I have always tried to bring people in my life that have my best interest at heart. Even though sometimes you don't figure out some people's true intentions until it's too late. Another thing that has always worked for me is to count your blessings not your problems. I sometimes overwhelm myself by thinking of everything that is going wrong , rather than everything that is going right. Life is such a precious thing and to live one day not appreciating it is a disservice to yourself. Lastly, even though it might hurt some days, just smile. Smiling is one of the easiest things you can do and you have no idea what a smile can do for someone else. Also if you need to talk and have nobody else to talk to DM me and let's chat.
