Great day today chatting with residents of #OttawaCentre at my community picnic. Thank you to everyone who came, and a huge thank you to the volunteers, organizers and community partners who made the event possible. #OwnOurOttawa
I had a great time this afternoon at Ottawa Welcomes the World - Ireland. Thank you to all of the vendors, artists, and guests for the warm welcome. As someone with Irish roots, you made me feel at home. #OwnOurOttawa#IrelandAtCanada150
What a blast this morning at the #GreatGlebeGarageSale. So many great bargains, food, and music. Shoutout to @ecologyottawa for giving away free trees and to everyone raising money for a cause like the Quebec floods, refugee sponsorship, and sports camps. #ownourottawa
Very happy to announce $1.8m to the Wood Manufacturing Council and Social Planning Council of Ottawa to help train youth for jobs. Touring @makerspacenorth after was awesome. So many local businesses inside who #OwnOurOttawa
If you haven't attended a @manyattanetwork event, you are definitely missing out on an excellent resource.

Remembrance Day ceremonies in Navan with my two favourite soldiers. I am always so proud of the Miedemas, but on days like today I am sincerely thankful for their service and grateful that they came home safe from duty.
Sitting at Starbucks earlier today, I overhead a gentleman discussing gender violence and he seemed genuinely invested in this topic. I reached out and introduced myself. He was Paul Lacerte, co-founder of @moose_hide_campaign
Quickly, he engaged me on the importance of confronting violence against indigenous women and children across Canada, and what his organization is doing to end it.
I also got my moose hide!
I support the Moose Hide Campaign to stand up with women and children, and speak out against violence towards them.
Join me in taking action. Make the pledge and stand up to end violence towards women and children.
There’s a fun interactive art piece in the lobby of the NAC . It’s a cloud made of light bulbs. There are long strings that you can pull to turn the lights on and off. I *finally* convinced Peter to come underneath with me for a photo.
