After attempting a standing 135lb strict over head press for the first time I learned that my core and lower back strength is lacking very hard. The weight shot up faster then I expected but felt that I couldn’t keep the core stability I needed for a 3rd rep. Time to start working on these again! ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^
A friend in the UK reached out to me at stupid o'clock (0449hrs) this morning and said to me, "go for it! No excuses" He also said that he would do anything to make sure I succeed which is humbling in its own way. Other than the fact that it was late by his time and too early by mine, it made me realise a few things which I need to keep reflecting and working on. So let's go! To my friend, you know who you are, thank you! "Then B.I. said, "Ray' remind yourself Nobody built like you, you designed yourself" I agree I said, my one of a kind self Get stoned every day like Jesus did What he said, I said, has been said before "Just keep doing your thing, " he said, say no more"
// Overhead pressing // Found this complex from @jheppner66 and it was quite intense as you could expect from a crossfit games athlete 5 rounds 2 strict press + 4 push press + max effort push jerk Essentially find muscle fatigue, and trust me, you soon get fatigued 😅 Give it a go!
