Moral authority is an essential ingredient for myself, and for the people I choose to associate with. I’ve been known to seem stand-of...ish when friends introduce me to someone and I have this “you are questionable” vibe flowing through my veins. I feel I am a good judge of character, because majority of those people that I felt that vibe from I was correct. However, I have also experienced being let down by people who I have associated with, would even vouch for them, and they were caught lying, doing something stupid, or simply started to reveal a complete lack of moral authority. There was a huge inconsistency with what was said and who they were. I found myself striving for more excellence, for raising standards even more, and yet I was always labeled “the bad guy”. That’s life though, and the best you can do is act with grace upon grace, maintain your high standards and values, and the people who are not aligned will weed themselves out. -
