When was the last time you just sat in silence and absorbed what was around you? We spend so much of our lives on autopilot. We spend so much time going from task to task to task that we forget to take a beat; to pause and absorb. Check in with yourself. When was the last time you did that?
We need breaks. We need time to ourselves to sort out the jumble of things going on in our brains. If not, we continue to move forward like mindless zombies. We become stressed and anxious and confused and just muddle through. Spending 5-10 minutes a day just to sit with your thoughts can make huge improvements in your mental state and help you gain some clarity. Try it. Take a step towards mindfulness and stop just going through the motions because your mental state matters just as much as your daily tasks do. .
