Late again, but here's the day 15 prompt
Currently, I'm enjoying the breeze blowing the sweet scent of lilac (and my hair) around while drinking fair trade coffee on the deck, during a rare moment of quiet.
I believe that self care is an imperative necessity. I need to be able to take time to fill my well in order to be the best version of myself for the beasties, especially now that we are homeschooling. It also benefits all the other relationships in my life, including my relationship with myself. That being said, my "mom time" is as eclectic as our homeschooling style.
Over the weekend we enjoyed a much needed mini family vacay in the city. We spent time at the zoo where we ran into my beautiful friend @charmainewiensphotography who also happens to be a mighty talented photographer. She snapped the photo of the littles with the peacock. I am so glad we ran into her and her littles.
At the hotel, I spent an hour in the hot tub while papa bear played in the pool with the littles. Pure bliss.
I recently got our tiny space bedroom turned into the relaxing oasis I've been imagining since we found out we were moving into this house. It's the perfect place to kick back and listen to some good music, meditate, practice yoga or read (things I try to carve time out for often throughout the week). Did I mention I spent the day at a heavy metal concert with my dad yesterday? I lean more towards my calm, introverted self most days but thrashing to Slayer and Anthrax can be just as rejuvenating for my extroverted self (there is a tiny part of me that cries out for the energy of a crowd every once in awhile). See. Eclectic.
