I was speaking to a close friend of mine recently who is going through some personal struggles. During our conversation it was clear to see that she was overwhelmed by her current circumstances. Naturally, as her friend I just wished I knew the right words to say to make her feel better. To be honest it wasn't so much that I didn't know what to say, it was just that I knew no matter what I said it would not change her current situation or improve it for the better. The only advice I could offer her was to "take one step at a time". It's the same advice that someone once gave to me, and something I repeat to myself whenever I am feeling overwhelmed by life. " Ash,take one step at a time". I want to extend this same advice to you today. If your present circumstances are not exactly how you want them to be, take one step at a time in creating the reality you want.
If you have deadlines to meet, take one step at a time and organise a schedule that will allow you to complete the task at hand in a timely fashion.
If you are striving towards a long term goal, take one step at a time and identify all the small actions you need to take towards achieving that goal. If you're dedicated to making some big change in your life, such as losing weight, starting your own business or doing some personal development. Take one step at a time and keep putting one foot in front of the other till you reach the finish line. If you concentrate on each step you are at, and on that step alone, before you know it you will have completed your journey and will be in a position to offer these same words of wisdom to someone who needs to hear it.
