"Bring them in."
Her voice echoed with royalty throughout the room. Anubis was sitting on her throne, legs crossed and eyes on the large doors that stretched across the wall. "Yes, my lady." A male jackal with beige fur bowed and stepped aside to open the doors with the help of three other jackal men. They appeared to be guards. Servants, even. As the double doors slowly pulled open, two humans were struggling in the grasps of these canine people. They were lead up to the throne and pushed onto their knees. One of the guards leaned in between the two, muttering "bow" to them. As Anubis watched them for a moment, she spoke. "Mortals, I demand to know why you have entered my kingdom in secrecy. I believe it was for stealing my gold, but I'd like to hear it from the humans themselves." Anubis' tail swung back and forth calmly, the little charms wrapped around it glinting in the light. One of the humans spoke up. "It was our gold! Taken fair and square!" The man hissed. Anubis gave him a plain look before standing up and approaching him. In a split second, she lifted a sickle-like weapon and sliced through his throat. His head fell clean off and thudded to the floor. Then she turned to the other remaining human. "I'd like to hear your explanation, before I waste another life that could be useful to me. Now, what is your offering for me?"
