“Be gentle,” I wrote these words in henna on my wrist before entering into the last 10 days of quietude and intense meditation.
At times it’s easier to be critical of the process of growing than to be forgiving and kind to it.
To forget, in the midst of it all, how far we have come.
I am learning.
I have seen and tasted a precious gift.
A new way to walk free from the shackles of self-doubt, self-criticism, self-conscious paranoia.
The open way.
The forgiving way.
As we climb the mountain of human consciousness,
Higher and higher
understanding, fullness and freedom,
Through storms, fields of flowers, dark nights and soft mornings.
The way is long and demanding
and we will grow tired if we keep our packs full,
Of the heavy burdens of fear.
So we lighten the load.
We surrender into the tenderness of the moment.
And fill the air with songs of pure laughter.
✨✨✨✨”This is our life!”✨✨✨✨
that we know the Way
We don’t need to always understand.
And we won’t.
Sometimes we just need to keep walking.
Kissing the path with our blessed and bruised feet
Here’s some unbound movement that makes me feel vulnerable as a prayer to embracing our magic, the moment, and our infinite form. ☀️🌬🏔✨🌿
P.S. Vipassana Meditation courses are offered all over the world(for free!) and in my opinion are one of the most soul-nourishing, liberating, honest and potent offerings so easily available to us. If you feel a call for some deep inner work, check out Dhamma.org 🔑
