It isnt fancy, but this is my #truth. Grilled chicken, salad greens and a few other veggies, no dressing. Because sometimes when #foodisfuel is IS #boring... but truth is that this what #discipline looks like. Yes I try to have variety and keep my food fun even #onprep. But sometimes #meal3 is just fuel, eaten in the driver's seat of my car.

#throwbackthursday to hipthrusts from yesterday's glute and hamstring session with @kfitgram. I never really use bands apart from during a warm up and for hipthrusts to add extra tension. I personally think if you want to grow you need to move some weight but I do think bands can be an excellent tool. Next time you do hipthrusts add them in 🤗 Here i'm doing 160kg and have added the band for extra tension a tip i picked up when i started following @bretcontreras1 a few years ago

“Fitness hasn't always been a part of my life. I grew up being what most people would consider as thick. Because of my genetics, I always had thicker legs and hips than most girls my age and this caused me to start struggling with body image and self-esteem issues from a very young age. My lower body made me feel very insecure about myself and the social pressure to be thin eventually drove me to do everything I could to get skinny. I spent several years running every morning and severely under eating and although I did manage to lose weight this way, I didn’t really look fit. I was physically smaller but there was no muscle tone. It was a very unhealthy and unsustainable way to live. Instead of feeling better about myself, I only became obsessed with eating as little as possible and watching the scale.

As years went by, my fitness goals started to change. I started to understand that beauty does not come from what the scale says and I slowly started to accept the fact that my body was meant to be thicker than most girls. Instead of being obsessed with my weight, I began focusing on becoming a healthier and stronger person. I understood that I could not change my genetics but I could work with what I had so I started lifting weights and eating more to build muscle and even though I am heavier now I look and feel better than ever. Now I teach women to love themselves and to love their bodies. If I could give anyone a single piece of advice it would be to never give up on yourself. With hard work and consistency everything is possible. We all start somewhere, don’t get discouraged by what you see on social media. We all have our own journeys. Some started sooner than others and that’s okay. Love the process and focus on you!”

Ate half tonight, and the other half will be my post workout meal tomorrow. I also skipped my fats the rest of the day knowing this would be cooked with some butter or oil.

W2D1 of my slightly very intense volume phase😢
I can see them gains coming thru though! Hit a baby squat PB of 5x8x75Kg which Im very excited about. My squat seems to be rapidly improving after mixing up high bar and low bar focusing loads while doing it (shock). I also played around w my squat trying to work on my weaknesses and squat w a box in front of me which was very dreadful and it was very stressful…Deadlifts felt ok at 4x4x80, by then I was just hangry… Increased my cals back to maintenance and everything just feels easier and I feel better in between sets! 🔥Back on 100g of oats YAS BITCH🔥 so worth being bloated and slightly chunkier😅
