When your nails are #onfleek , a slower 3.7 miler doesn't feel that bad.
Today was an hour of weight training, with running as cardio after. For 2x 4 min, I ran at 7.5 mph (so in total, that was .98 miles in 8 min). Then I did 16x40 sec as an interval incline run (setting the treadmill to 5% at 6mph), throwing in walking at 3.5 mph for 20 sec.
My goal is to run a 7mph pace for a 10km race or roughly 6 mile course. I would love to finish a 10km in under 45 min.
I've learned that some days your workouts aren't the fastest or strongest. Today, I was feeling drained and unmotivated to train, but I told myself I would be happier once I finished.
Sometimes the best workouts happen when you feel the crummiest ... and I ran almost my fastest mile in 8 min, so it's true 🏆
