(Before my rant that no one is gonna read I got these from tescos just a heads up). So, in honour of Pride Month (#pride2017)
Skittles has changed its packaging to just all white, as you can see (I'm trying hard to not just ramble on and on but let's see how this will go). On the back of the packet it says #onerainbow which means that skittles are willing to give up their rainbow for people in the LGBT+ community.
So, why the long explanation in a caption when people can just see it for themselves? Well, all I want to do is to tell you this.
Don't be against the community. Don't go out and bully someone just because of their sexuality or because of their gender identity. Why do it if that's just what makes them, well, them? If a boy wears makeup or a 'feminine' clothing item then let him be. If a girl is more masculine than the stereotypical female then let her be. Gender and sexuality does not define one. If someone believes that they're non binary or if someone believes that they do not have any sexual desire or have no desire to be with the opposite gender then why should you care? It's their own choices after all; not yours, not anyone else's. It's their choice in the end.
It's the 21st century for crying out loud! People of this community shouldn't be harassed, bullied or feel isolated because of who they are. Neither should anyone else (even if you aren't in the community of such). Sexuality is just how one feels towards another group of genders or just humans in general. Some people say that these people are classified as 'not normal' but what even is normal nowadays?
All I want to say is that if you don't have anything good to say, don't say it at all. Don't judge one another because of their sexuality or because of their gender or race, origin, hair colour, skin colour etc.
Basically, I mean shut up about your thoughts about someone if it's not nice.
And to everyone out there who are actually reading this, don't be afraid to be yourself; don't be afraid to express yourself; don't be afraid to show who you really are.
And if you made it this far, I congratulate you.
That is all. Thanks.
happy pride month everyone.
